However, Dr. Gail Weingast took the road less traveled and it has served her well. Gail Weingast next chose to attend Boston University's School of Medicine. She sought her medical degree, receiving it in 1976. After that, Dr. Gail Weinfast committed to working in the field of pediatrics. She moved into pediatrics and enjoyed the work very much. Dr. Gail Weingast began working at the Colorado General Hospital in Denver, Colorado, in 1977. Her residency was performed there as well. She performed a three-year residency, serving in that position from 1980 until 1983. She became a specialist in radiology, which became increasing important later in her career as she moved away from pediatrics. She also performed a fellowship in Ultrasound, beginning in 1983, at the Colorado General Hospital.
